Folks are always interested in what needs to be done to a 25+ year old vehicle to keep it running. This is everything I've done since importing my Honda Acty:
- Oil change and air filter change
- Steering bushings, a common replacement to prevent wobbling at speed. Google "Moog Honda Acty" and 500 examples will appear for how to do this
- In search of a no-start issue, I did Seafoam in the gas tank, fuel filter replacement, Ignition control module, and ignition coil... ended up being a bad ignition coil and I was up and running again!
- Very regular oil top ups. No visible leaking, just burns!
As I've mentioned before, I have had this bothersome noise going on for a while now. Doesn't impact driving much besides hearing the noise in my head as I fall asleep after long drives.... Also I'll have to get my engine mounts replaced at some point. The rubber is super worn out and the truck shakes like mad when at a stop light, especially if I have my headlights on.
All that being said, I've driven back and forth between Richmond and Fairfax twice now in the Acty and once to Berkeley Springs, WV. It has held up really well on those long drives, especially when you have conversation or loud music to drown out the truck's and road's noise.
